Did you know that Rainbow Teddies is run by a Committee of volunteers, predominantly parents and carers of children who attend Rainbow Teddies, such as yourself? Without volunteers to make up the Committee the setting cannot operate or open to the public. Rainbow Teddies runs as an organisation with charitable status; set up exclusively for the benefit of pre-school age children in and around the Thornbury area.
As we start a new school year with children moving on from Rainbow Teddies, we are looking for a new Chair, Treasurer and Secretary as well as a website administrator and additional fundraisers to join the Committee. Please can you consider whether you are able to spare a small amount of your time to help enable Rainbow Teddies to continue its fantastic job of looking after our children? We meet once a term and your involvement would be as much or as little as you are able to commit.
Being a member of the Committee is extremely rewarding. The current committee, this year, have planned and organised events which have raised over £1500 towards new resources to further enhance the children’s pre-school experience, including new books and reading den. It also provides an opportunity for like-minded people to meet; particularly advantageous if you have recently moved to the area.
Please come and join us at The Rainbow Teddies Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday 25th September, 7.00pm for a 7:30pm start at Rainbow Teddies Pre-school, where you can find out more about what the Committee and its members do.
You can attend the AGM without becoming a member of the Committee.
