Funding

Government funding may be available for your child, depending on their age and whether they meet the eligibility criteria. For more information check out the Government website.  A summary is below. 

Age 2

15 funded  hours of childcare a week is available for families in England receiving some forms of support such as income support, Job seekers allowance and tax credits, Universal Credit.

It is also available if you have an annual income under £16190 before tax or your child has a Special Educational Needs (SEN) plan, a Education, health and care plan (EHC) or receives the Disability Living Allowance (DLA).

15 funded hours of childcare a week for working families in England

You are eligible if you and your partner each expect to earn (on average) the equivalent of working 16 hours a week at your national minimum wage.

If you or your partner expect to earn £100,000 or more you are not eligible.

To check eligibility criteria please visit the childcarechoices.gov.uk. If granted, funding will be available from the first full term following the child’s 2nd birthday.

 

Age 3-4

15 hours of free childcare a week is available for all families in England. 

This can start on the 1st January, 1st April or the 1st September following the child’s 3rd birthday.  

 

Age 3-4

30 hours of free childcare a week for working families in England. 

You are eligible if you and your partner each expect to earn (on average) the equivalent of working 16 hours a week at your national minimum wage.

If you or your partner expect to earn £100,000 or more you are not eligible.

Visit us

If you would like to see for yourself how the pre-school operates during a session parents and children are welcome to visit us at any time. You will be able to meet our staff and ask any questions you may have about our pre-school activities and facilities.

Get involved

We always welcome extra help from any parent/carer who would like to be more involved with the pre-school.  Any help is always appreciated. This can be on either an ad-hoc basis, for example to support a fundraising event, or on a more regular basis by attending committee meetings.
